The Aberdare Golf Club is a well-established beautifully maintained course at the heart of the Cynon Valley just 1 mile from the town of Aberdare.

Founded in 1921 this mountain parkland course offers spectacular views of the South Wales Valley while playing through between mature oak trees on manicured lawns.  Aberdare Golf Club has an impressive golfing legacy having produced past Ryder Cup Captain, David Rees who started his career as the assistant course professional.

The first hole is a par 4 requiring a drive over the marker post onto a fairway guarded by trees and shrubs on the left and a slope guiding your ball right into the rough.  When playing the 3 par 4th hole the elevated tee gives you an unobstructed view of the green but mind the fairway tree as well as the stream running on the right hand side.

The Aberdare Golf Course Clubhouse is also available for conference, weddings and special events and includes a well equipped functions area as well as a golfers bar open to members and non members for a drink and good food to put the finishing touches on a great round of golf.
