Tension is a killer whatever shot you’re hitting on a golf course. Pitch shots, chips and greenside bunker shots are no exception to this rule. One simple thought I have is to make sure my forearms stay very soft as I swing the club back and through. What that does is ‘oil’ the swing with a lovely smooth rhythm, always a good thing. And it helps ensure that the ball doesn’t come off the clubface too hot. Basically, those soft forearms help promote a soft, easily controllable ball flight.
