Volvo’s worldwide reputation for quality and innovation is on show all week when the internationally renowned brand once again breaks new ground with a record five hole-in-one prizes during the 2014 Volvo Golf Champions, the European Tour’s tournament of champions.

Everyone watching the event on site or on TV in approximately 150 countries will get to see the extraordinary prizes on offer for that rare, but thrilling achievement - a hole-in-one.

While many tournaments offer one or two such prizes, Volvo put up three prizes last year and now they are going even further by offering four prizes at the four par-three’s and one at the very driveable closing hole.

With no halfway cut, the field of 36 players will get have the usual one or two attempts, but an incredible 20 chances to claim one of the amazing prizes on offer!
And to add to the excitement, the prizes are also up for grabs for some lucky amateur golfers, too.

Each of the 18 top finishers from the World Final of the Volvo World Golf Challenge, currently underway at the Zimbali Country Club just down the road, will have five chances themselves when they join the professionals in Friday’s Playing With The Pros finale.
First up, a 2014 Volvo S60 at the second hole. Worth around $47,000, this beauty is just one of the models in Volvo’s customer-focussed range of vehicles. Two holes on and the players will swing to scoop a Volvo V40 Cross Country, worth $ 40,000, boasting a contemporary Scandinavian design and a lot of attitude, after the turn, the stakes are raised.
The 12th hole is baited with Volvo Cars’ best-selling model, the Volvo XC60 worth $55,000 and, at the 15th, the prize Oosthuizen is already eyeing….a Volvo Backhoe Loader from Volvo Construction Equipment, worth $75,000.

The closing holes offers the biggest prize, both in size and value… a Volvo FH16 Truck worth a staggering $200,000.

Volvo’s superb range of trucks has been the subject of some massively popular YouTube video hits featuring the Ballerina Stunt and, more recently one starring Jean-Claude Van Damme which has been watched an incredible 66 million times.

Never before have there been five such varied and high-quality prizes on offer for a hole-in-one, and this week’s offering is certain to create even more thrills and excitement throughout the week.
